She said: This movie made me ashamed of the history of our country that we would allow people to be treated like they were because of skin color. Having said that, I thought this was a really good movie, well done and well acted. I laughed and I cried. The language was rough, but the story was told really well. I would recommend this movie!
Welcome to our blog! Here you will find our opinions on the movies we see...and, we see a lot of them! We are not professional movie critics, just movie lovers! Although, who wouldn't love to get paid to watch movies?? That would be the ultimate dream job (she says :) We also write these at different times, so we don't "play" off one another.

Flypaper
He said: Dumb! Awful language....dumb! I love Patrick Dempsey, but this movie was horrible. Grade: F
She said: I did not like this movie. It had the potential to be a funny caper type movie, but missed the mark by a long shot! Patrick Dempsey wasn't believable as the neurotic OCD guy and the bank robbers were ridiculously lame! We rented this on demand, and spent about $9.98 too much out of the $9.99 price!! Wouldn't hurt to skip this one!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes
He said: I really didn't like the last Planet of the Apes movie, so I wasn't expecting much of this one. I was genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed this movie. The story line was believable and it's about a doctor who's trying to cure his sick father. The testing on the animals was a little disturbing to me. In the end, it's about friendship and love and desire to have freedom. Grade: B+
She said: Finally....a movie worth seeing this summer!! I really enjoyed this movie. The story was good, the effects were good, and the language wasn't horrible...just all around a good movie. It's easy to get attached to Ceaser (the monkey) and feel for him during the film. And, don't leave right when the movie ends, there's a little somethin, somethin during the credits :) I would put this on your list to see this summer! :)

Crazy, Stupid Love
He said: I really wanted to see this movie, but I was a little disappointed. It wasn't as good as I had hoped. It was a little slow in the beginning and got a little better as it went along. I never really felt any real connections between any of the characters. Wait until it comes to the dollar movie. Grade: C
She said: You know how you see a movie trailer and it's really funny, and then you see the movie....and it isn't so funny? Well, that's about how I felt about this movie. To me, it was pretty slow, and depressing. I didn't feel like there was any chemistry between the characters, either. Don't get me wrong, there were some funny moments. And even some character twists towards the end. But, overall I was disappointed in this movie. I don't think it is appropriate for young audiences due to the overall material, skin, and language. If you are just dying to see this one, I would wait to pay as little as possible, ie: the dollar movie or Redbox.
