Welcome to our blog! Here you will find our opinions on the movies we see...and, we see a lot of them! We are not professional movie critics, just movie lovers! Although, who wouldn't love to get paid to watch movies?? That would be the ultimate dream job (she says :) We also write these at different times, so we don't "play" off one another.

Seven Days in Utopia
He said: First just let me say that Robert Duvall is one of my favorite actors, and he was cast perfectly in this role. It's a movie about the love of the game of golf, but more importantly it's a movie about life and love and faith. It's about the Truth that dwells inside all of us and the difficulties we all face finding that Truth. The Truth that successes and failures don't matter, but people and God do. Grade: Acting: Robert Duvall- A ; Other Actors: C; Movie: A-
She said: Finally!!!! A movie the whole family can watch. I had never heard of this movie, but watched the trailer and thought....this looks like a good movie. And boy, was I right!! I love Robert Duvall and he didn't disappoint!! This movie is about a golfer who has a complete meltdown on National Television during a golf tournament. He crashes his car in a pasture of a man name Johnny who lives in Utopia. He spends 7 days there (while his car is being repaired) learning life lessons/golf lessons from Johnny. Refreshingly no bad language, no naked people and a lot of Christian influence. I would recommend this movie for everyone. GO OUT AND SUPPORT THE GOOD MOVIES!!!
Dear Frankie
He said: It's been a while since I saw this movie, so I'm trying to remember. This movie was recommended by our good friends, Lance and Jenny Lou Jones, who like Irish/British movies. It was about a woman struggling to raise her son without a father. It was very sad at times but also very poignant. I thought the little boy was a really good actor. I enjoyed this movie very much. Grade: B
She said: This is a little known movie starring Gerard Butler. It was sweet and funny and basically is about a mother's love for her child and what she will do to protect him. A good rental for a lazy day...one the whole family can watch.
Bridesmaids
He said: Not my kind of movie. There were some funny parts, but most of it was just inappropriate. I did enjoy seeing Wilson Phillips at the end. Grade: D
She said: There is a reason this movie is rated R!! The language was really bad and the material is inappropriate for young teenagers, lots of sex and sexual innuendo. Having said that, I have to say it had the funniest bathroom/food poisoning scenes I think I have ever seen. I laughed (along with everyone else in the theater). It did have some funny scenes in it but I'm glad I didn't pay over $1.99!! I know I sound like a broken record, but these types of movies would be so much better without all the language in it!!
