Welcome to our blog! Here you will find our opinions on the movies we see...and, we see a lot of them! We are not professional movie critics, just movie lovers! Although, who wouldn't love to get paid to watch movies?? That would be the ultimate dream job (she says :) We also write these at different times, so we don't "play" off one another.

The Giant Mechanical Man
He said: My kind of movie. A story about human feelings and emotion. About love and a desire to be wanted and to fit in. I'm a big Independent Film fan and I really enjoyed this movie. Grade: B+
She said: Cute Indie type movie. A little slow but good story about 2 people trying to figure out life. I thought it was well acted and the characters were believable. A little known film, but a good movie to watch....our 15 year old daughter even thought it was good.
The Avengers
He said: I'm not a big Superhero movie kind of guy. But all in all it was a pretty good movie. It was much funnier than I expected and the action was pretty cool. It was also a little long for my liking, could have been 10-15 mins shorter, but I would recommend it. Grade: B-
She said: I loved this movie. I'm not a huge Marvel fan, but this movie combined the best of all of the characters. I loved seeing how they interacted and the comedy that was infused throughout the entire movie. Great special effects. A must see...and of course, wait until the very end for a little snippet of things to come!!
Chimpanzee
He said: Family tradition, I always take Taylor to see Disney Nature on Earth Day. This movie was just ok to me. Scenery was beautiful, but this movie could have been 30 mins long. Grade: C
She said: The annual family tradition seeing the Earth Day movie. I love monkeys...I feel like I live with them ;) This movie follows Oscar, an orphaned Chimp. It's amazing how smart these animals are. I thought this was a good movie, a little too long to get the point across, but informative nonetheless. Cute family outing.
The Lucky One
He said: Definite chick flick! Based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. I did enjoy the movie and I felt they spent time developing the characters. Good date movie. Grade: B
She said: I thought Zac Efron did a great job. He has matured into a fine actor in my opinion. I liked this movie...it's a typical love story, feel good kind of movie. I didn't realize it was a Nicholas Sparks movie, so be prepared, there's always someone who dies. I'm gonna read the book now to see how different they are! I would say this is a sweet movie to see as a couple or family. Not too much skin, and I don't remember a lot of bad language. Go see it.
Contraband
He said: Typical formula movie...bad guy turned good guy, turned back bad guy again to protect his family. Not very believable to me. Grade: C-
She said: Wow......F bomb alert!! Action movie with horrible language. If you can get passed all the F bombs, then the movie itself was pretty good. I like seeing how a movie comes together and people get out of situations. Mark Wahlberg doesn't disappoint. Typical bad guy movie....action and language.
The Hunger Games
He said: I never read the book, so I was a little lost in the movie. Overall it was a good movie, not great. I didn't feel a true connection between Katniss, Gale or Peeta. The premise of the movie is just a little out there for me, I just don't like kids running around killing other kids. Grade: C
She said: One of the most anticipated movies of the year. I read all the books!! But, let me say...if you read the books....you'll probably be a little disappointed. The movie was good, don't get me wrong...but, I hate how they change things from the book. I thought the character development was lacking although the acting was pretty good. You can form your own opinion...and....May the odds be ever in your favor :)
