He said: I'm a guy, right? So I don't like ballet! But, this movie was very intriguing. If I had to describe it in one word, I would say "disturbing". In my opinion, Natalie Portman gave the best performance of her career. Her obsession to obtain perfection made her paranoid and delusional. She couldn't distinguish between reality and fantasy. The movie had a darkness about it, but was eerily pleasing in some strange ways. It was a definate work of art; however, this movie is not for kids/young teens due to a graphic girl on girl sex scene.. Grade: B+
She said: Wow...this movie was freaky-deaky! It was very dark but clever. There is of course, bad language and a doozie of a lesbian sex scene (Deano says girl on girl is different from lesbian, I say...um...ok, whatever?!)...
SO not appropriate for kids, in my opinion. It's one of those movies I left thinking about and trying to figure out. And, of course, Deano was trying to explain my questions! Those of you who know me, know I'm not the deep thinker!!
