The Adjustment Bureau

He said:  I'm not in the mood to do this!  But at the constant, never ending urging of my wife, I am providing this under duress.  I originally did not want to see this movie, but it seemed like the only potentially smart movie of the weekend.  The movie was very interesting, well written and well acted.  Its about a young, lonely politician who meets the love of his life by chance, or was it all set up by the adjustment bureau ?? There are alot of metaphors about angels, God, and the choices we make. In the end its about finding the one true love in your life and doing anything it takes to make that dream a reality. I'll always be looking at men in hats differently now. ( you need to see the movie to understand that ) Is someone out there watching my every move and changing the direction of my life ? I hope so, and his name is Jesus. I really enjoyed this movie. Grade B+

She said:  I wasn't sure what this movie was going to be about...I was thinking sci-fi.  But, it was more of a love story, and I really liked it!  I could see metaphors throughout the movie of a spiritual nature, which may offend some people, but most of all, I think it will get people thinking a little bit.  The basis is the age old discussion of free will vs predestination.  You see it in the quote where his "case worker" says, "You don't have free will, David.  You have the appearance of free will."  In a nut shell, David (the main character) fights for the girl he loves, and doesn't let the Adjustment Bureau tell him he can't!  It was a feel good movie and one that was cleverly written to get people thinking about what they really believe in.  Oh yeah...some bad language, but only 1 or 2 F-bombs, and no real nudity (just a brief bed scene).
