Welcome to our blog! Here you will find our opinions on the movies we see...and, we see a lot of them! We are not professional movie critics, just movie lovers! Although, who wouldn't love to get paid to watch movies?? That would be the ultimate dream job (she says :) We also write these at different times, so we don't "play" off one another.

Take Me Home Tonight
He said: I chose this movie because I thought it would be funny. Some of the scenes were funny, but mostly this movie was pretty dumb! It was set in the 80's, which is the generation I grew up in, so the music was obviously outstanding. This movie was a combination of 80's movies such as: Risky Business, Say Anything, Valley Girl, etc..however, it was not as good as any these movies! The language was pretty bad, but not unexpected. The central theme is about a geeky guy trying to obtain his fantasy girl from high school. This unobtainable girl must be his regardless of how he goes about trying to get her, including cheating, lying, stealing, etc. Maybe it's just me, but it sure shows the 20-something yr old college graduates being pretty unmotivated. A 25 yr old graduate of MIT/Harvard/Clemson/Carolina who still lives at home with his parents is sadly fiction becoming reality. I have a piece of advice for you: Grow up, get a job, move out of your parents house.....oh...off the soap box now and back to the movie...Grade: D
She said: I LOVE the 80's!! But, I have to say the best thing about this movie was the soundtrack!! The language was atrocious and some of the content was inappropriate (this is how I know I'm getting old!). I can't say that I would recommend this movie for teens-although I'm sure they deal with this kind of stuff at schools. Drug use, language, cheap romances, etc....just not my cup of tea!
