Welcome to our blog! Here you will find our opinions on the movies we see...and, we see a lot of them! We are not professional movie critics, just movie lovers! Although, who wouldn't love to get paid to watch movies?? That would be the ultimate dream job (she says :) We also write these at different times, so we don't "play" off one another.

Chaos Theory
He said: This movie was recommended by my good friend, Lance. It was a strange/quirky but emotional movie. It's a movie about a guy whose life has to be in order, he writes all of his goal/accomplishments down on index cards. A series of events happens that throws his life into chaos, hence the name for the movie. He embraces the chaos, he longs for the adventure of freedom and change. But, deep in his soul, he longs for something more. It's something we all long for. The love of a faithful wife and an adoring child. Those things are what bring the order to the life of chaos. Really enjoyed this movie...funny, well written and excellent acting by Ryan Reynolds. Thanks for the recommendation, LJ! Grade: B
She said: Some friends recommended this movie, so we naturally got it off Netflix :) I'm a fan of Ryan Reynolds and this is probably a little known movie of his, but I really liked it. It was an emotional story of a couple and their journey in marriage. I thought the acting was good. The language of course was a little rough at times (I feel like a broken record-seems like I say this about every movie!) and some skin (not total nudity), but overall the story was good. It was a good movie for at home rental!

Thank you for this review! This movie has been sitting in my Netflix queue for probably a year, and, after seeing a bad Ryan Reynolds movie (avoid "School of Life," or at least research it first), I wasn't sure if I wanted to chance it with another lesser known title of his. This helps!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it, Matt. Thanks for the comment!! :)
